What to expect

Our mission: To be the best Oktoberfest experience outside of Munich.

Hi. We're Pierre, Nick, Tom and Sam. We've been running large scale events across the UK (and abroad!) for the past 15+ years. Bringing a proper Oktoberfest celebration to the UK had always been something we'd talked about and in 2023, it finally felt like the right time to bring Oktoberfest to London's iconic Clapham Common. We welcomed just shy of 10,000 people in our first year and had an incredible time doing it. We're now taking all the learnings to curate an event at which you'll be able to create memorable experiences with friends, family and colleagues! Thank you for coming along on the journey with us!

Want to know more? Reach out on hello@ootc.co.uk

From bratwurst sausages on brioche buns with sauerkraut and senf, to bratkartoffein and pretzels, we have an endless choice of authentic food to cater all your Oktoberfest needs. Krajauer smokey bacon sausage, kasekrainer cheese filled sausages with a chilli hit, frikadellen pork burgers, schnitzel, and with vegan and vegetarian options available you'll not be going hungry.

A range of caterers will be serving food, including swing grills that will be cooking up over 800 German sausages per hour! In addition, there will be an authentic Pan House offering everything from sauerkraut to vegan bratwurst. Our walk-around teams will also be offering salted pretzels and drinks for sale.

We are pleased to offer a variety of gluten free / coeliac options from our selected caterers, however we cannot guarantee that cross contamination will not occur.

What are you wearing to Oktoberfest on the Common?

The dirndl dress, which has its roots in Alpine peasant clothing is a recognisable visual from many an Oktoberfest, the same goes for the lederhosen, and the Tyrolean hat. It is a fact that you will have a lot more fun when dressed up for an Oktoberfest.

If you want to get into the Oktoberfest vibes without wearing a the traditional outfits, a german-inspired sweater will lift the vibes, but guests are invited to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.

PS… We always advise flat shoes for dancing and walking on Clapham Common.
